Arriving late for an appointment

The Partners have recently reviewed the policy regarding patients who arrive late for their appointments and have implemented the following procedure:

  • Patients who arrive late may, at the clinician’s discretion, be asked to wait until a suitable gap becomes available within the clinic schedule.

  • Patients who arrive after the clinic has finished will need to complete a new triage form.

  • Patients who are frequently late may receive written communication from the practice, and further action may be taken if necessary, at the Partners’ discretion.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

Saturday Appointments

The practice offers an extended hours service on Saturday mornings, held at a hub location in Billericay.

If you would prefer a Saturday morning appointment, please mention this when completing the triage form. Please note that these appointments are subject to availability.

Home visits

If you are registered housebound or are too clinically ill to attend the surgery, you can request a home visit by completing the triage form available on the practice website.

Unfortunately, transport difficulties are not considered a sufficient reason to warrant a home visit.

If you require assistance in completing the triage form, then please contact the surgery and a member of staff will be happy to help you.

If you need a home visit, it's helpful if you can send your request before 10am.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If you have a preference for a specific doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional to respond, please let us know — we will accommodate your request where possible, subject to availability.
  • If you have a preference for how you consult with the doctor or nurse — whether by phone, face-to-face, video call, text, or email
  • If you require an interpreter
  • If you have any additional access or communication requirements

Training of Medical Students

From time to time, we have medical students from London University attached to the practice as part of their final training before qualifying as doctors. They are here to gain experience in general practice under the supervision of our clinical team.

We hope you will support their learning; however, if you would prefer not to have a student present during your consultation, please let us know. The receptionist will inform you if a student is sitting in.
